Dr. Peng Wang completed his medical physics residency at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa., and a post-doctoral fellowship at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

As a project manager for Xintek, Inc. in Durham, N.C., he served as principal investigator for a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Small Business Innovation Research grant and as a research scientist on studies for microbeam radiation therapy systems, stationary digital breast tomosynthesis system, and micro computed tomography. At the same time, he developed and commercialized two products.

Based on his research, Dr. Wang has co-authored several peer-reviewed research articles and contributed to numerous conference presentations, many specifically on proton therapy.
