Texas Center for Proton Therapy Opens Third Treatment Room

Members of the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce turned out for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Texas Center for Proton Therapy Proton, which also celebrated the opening of a third treatment room, giving the center the ability to treat 100 patients each day.

Texas Center for Proton Therapy is creating more hope for cancer patients with latest-generation technology that targets cancer cells with extreme precision, while minimizing damage to healthy tissue. The 63,000-square-foot center is the only center in Texas to offer pencil-beam scanning and image-guided proton therapy in multiple rooms, treating cancer with proton beams as small as two millimeters wide.
